Just a note that I intentionally avoided using the word "karma." For me that carries too many metaphysical/spiritual overtones. Instead, doing something with the hope of getting something (even if indirectly) is purely evolutionary. And karma, to me, suggests that by being a good person good things will happen to you, for some other reason than that people might just like you more. Which I don't agree with. And the general consensus is everyone has (or wishes to spend) less money these days. So which do you pick? Who's putting in the most thought and effort, being the most creative?
